Care & Maintenance

Raising the "Lamborghini of Poultry" requires attention to detail, though they are surprisingly hardy birds.

Housing Requirements

Because these birds are prized (and expensive), security is paramount. Ensure your coop is predator-proof. They tolerate cold reasonably well but should have a dry, draft-free coop. Due to their active nature, a larger run or free-range time is recommended to keep them happy.

Diet & Nutrition

To maintain their striking feathers and health, a high-protein diet is beneficial, especially during molting. Standard high-quality layer pellets work well, supplemented with greens, mealworms, and grit.
